Our Story

We are Marlynna and Sinan, parents of three and entrepreneurs in Singapore. Pintar Minda began with our own family’s struggle — and grew into something we realized many other families needed too.

When our eldest started primary school, Malay quickly became a challenge. It had not been offered in kindergarten, so he was suddenly trying to catch up while his classmates already had a head start. We searched everywhere — apps, worksheets, tuition centers — but kept hitting the same wall: resources that were outdated, too generic, or simply not engaging for a young child.

That is when we decided to stop looking and start building.

Who We Are

Hi, I am Marlynna , a Malay Singaporean counselor and entrepreneur raising three children in a multi-cultural family. Through my work as a counselor, I have seen how much confidence and connection matter in a child’s learning journey — and I bring that same approach to helping children experience Malay as something enjoyable and empowering, rather than intimidating.

My husband Sinan is a Turkish technology entrepreneur and computer scientist who specializes in building functional systems. His background in academia, research, and education technology brings a unique perspective: he may not speak Malay himself, but he knows how to design platforms that help children learn effectively and stay engaged.

Together, we bring both the cultural insight and technical expertise needed to create something meaningful for families like ours.

What We Built

Pintar Minda is not just a project — it is the resource we wished we had found for our own children. A platform where practice comes first, where mistakes turn into learning moments, and where parents can see real progress.

We designed more than 30 interactive activities so that practice never feels boring, and structured the system so children master each step before moving forward. Most importantly, we built it to feel like discovery, not work — because that is how our own children learn best.

Looking Ahead

While Pintar Minda started with our family’s journey, our vision goes further. We want to align closely with the Singapore Malay curriculum, so families can trust that practice at home supports success in school. We also see the potential to bring this approach to other regions where Malay is taught, ensuring more children can benefit from a practice-first, playful learning experience.

At its heart, Pintar Minda will always stay true to where it began: parents helping children grow in confidence through meaningful, joyful practice.
